Highest ever Cochrane Oral Health impact factor

The 2021 Impact Factors for both the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and Cochrane Oral Health have been released by Clarivate Analytics and Cochrane's publisher, Wiley.

The 2021 Impact Factor for the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews is 12.008, which is generated from a calculation that involves dividing the number of citations received in 2021 to reviews published between 2019 and 2020 by the number of reviews published in 2019 and 2020.

Our publisher, Wiley, also compiles data drawn from Clarivate Analytics to create an Impact Factor for each Cochrane Review Group. The 2021 Impact Factor for Cochrane Oral Health is 9.833 (24 publications cited 236 times). This means that a review published by Cochrane Oral Health in 2019 and 2020 was cited, on average, 9.833 times in 2021.

This is the highest Cochrane Oral Health's Impact Factor has ever been, and represents an increase of almost 2 points from the 2020 Impact Factor. Our Impact Factor is unofficial, but if it was official, Cochrane Oral Health's reviews would be the third most cited dental journal in the world after the International Journal of Oral Science and Periodontology 2000.

Our thanks to all of our editors, authors and supporters worldwide who have helped us achieve this fantastic score!
