Cochrane Oral Health Impact Factor reaches highest level yet!

The 2020 Impact Factors for both the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and Cochrane Oral Health have been released by Clarivate Analytics and Cochrane's publisher, Wiley.

The 2020 Impact Factor for the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews is 9.289, which is generated from a calculation that involves dividing the number of citations received in 2020 to reviews published between 2018 and 2019 (11,305) by the number of reviews published in 2018 and 2019 (1,217).

Our publisher, Wiley, also compiles data drawn from Clarivate Analytics to create an Impact Factor for each Cochrane Review Group. The 2020 Impact Factor for Cochrane Oral Health is 7.324 (34 publications cited 249 times). This means that a review published by Cochrane Oral Health in 2018 and 2019 was cited, on average, 7.324 times in 2020.

This is the highest Cochrane Oral Health's Impact Factor has ever been, and represents an increase of over two points from the 2019 Impact Factor. Our Impact Factor is unofficial, but to put this in context, the highest official 2020 Journal Impact Factor in dentistry is 8.728.

Our thanks to all of our editors, authors and supporters worldwide who have helped us achieve this fantastic score!
